This excursion features a journey through green fields to the Rock of Cashel, the city of Cork, and Blarney Castle before returning to Dublin. The experience highlights the Rock of Cashel, which served as the traditional seat of the Kings of Munster until they donated the complex to the Catholic Church almost 1,000 years ago, alongside the local produce of Cork and the legends of Blarney Castle. The atmosphere connects historical ruins, Celtic crosses, and round towers with a bustling city food market and the extensive outdoor grounds of a historic castle estate.
The journey begins with a drive through green fields to the Rock of Cashel, where visitors can stroll among ruins, Celtic crosses, and round towers. The route then continues to Cork, Ireland’s southern capital, to visit the gourmet English markets and its selection of local food stalls. The final stop is Blarney Castle, where guests can head up to the battlements and bend over backwards to kiss the Blarney Stone to receive seven years of eloquent speech. Before leaving for Dublin, time is provided to explore the Witches Cave within the castle, walk along the Lake Walk, and stroll around the gardens of the Blarney Estate.
