This full-day excursion features Malahide Castle, a castle-mansion dating to the twelfth century that is set in parkland. The experience highlights one of Ireland’s oldest castles, which was first built by Richard Talbot, a knight of Henry II. The atmosphere connects the exploration of castle interiors, period furniture, and historical paintings with a scenic coastal route that passes through a village and a fishing port.
The journey begins with a visit to the estate, where guests have the option to enter Malahide Castle for a tour of the interior. During the tour, visitors admire the period furniture and historical paintings of the main rooms while learning how the Talbot family owned the castle for nearly 800 years and hearing about the ghosts that reputedly still haunt the estate.
